Founded in 2010 as the Principality of Novum Angliae,  the Kingdom of New Roxburgh is an autonomous state landlocked by United States territory which operates under the royal prerogative of its founder and Head of State, His Majesty King Laine of New Roxburgh, who serves as both the ultimate executive authority and the nation's supreme judge.

On 14th August, 2010, the Principality of Novum Angliae declared independence and dominion over the dwarf planet Eris, which was approved by tacit consent, and began forming formal alliances and international agreements with over 20 other nations worldwide. Since that time, the nation has undergone significant changes in the structure of its government, transforming from a democratic principality into a thriving absolute monarchy.

In September 2022, HM King Laine, then Prince of Novum Angliae, dissolved the nation's parliament and declared that the country would be henceforth known as the Kingdom of New Roxburgh. His Majesty, with the nation's unanimous approval, assumed the titles of King of New Roxburgh and Emperor of Eris, and the regnal name HM King Laine. Since that time, HM King Laine has ruled the country and led us to become a prosperous, thriving sovereign nation that is welcoming growth and development and anticipating a bright future for all within our borders.
